The beauty secrets of Sarodj
Beautiful and talented, Sarodj Bertin represented Haiti at the 59th edition of Miss Universe held in 2010. The young woman who has just launched its own line of makeup entrusts with joy of heart its beauty secrets to Ticket. However, due to excessive modesty or shyness, she chose to dodge certain questions from our questionnaire. Does Sarodj have someone in his life? Has she changed a part of her body or would she like to do it? She preferred to hide these details. On the other hand, she speaks to us gladly of the relations which she maintains with her body.
You are perceived as an icon of beauty. How do you live that?

I think it’s important that I can become an icon of beauty. But I do not just want to be perceived as a beautiful woman. I want to be a role model for young girls. I want to use my image to send positive messages around the world, to show the true face of Haiti, the beauty of our culture and our people. I also want to encourage young people to work to make their dreams come true.

Do you regret the fact that we do not see you often as a leading woman?

I do not think I’m just seen as a body, but does it really bother me? Yes I have the body, and yes, people tend to see only that at first, but does not prevent; I have more than that to offer. My ideals for my country are clear and I work for Haiti. I have a dream of seeing my country grow, develop and provide opportunities for all people.

What relationship do you have with your body?

A pretty healthy relationship. I do exercises at least 3 to 4 times a week, and I try to control my mouth! (Laughs) It must be good!

How important are you to your physical appearance?

I do not think physical appearance is the most important because it reflects what is in the heart. For me the main thing is to feel good with oneself. It is therefore more important to have a heart and a conscience of their own … in my opinion.

What part of your body do you like the most?

My eyes. That yes, definitely.

What part of your body do you like the least?

To be honest, I must say that I feel good about myself. My body I love it exactly as it is!

Do you have complexes?

I think complexes are born of a lack of self-esteem. In my opinion, we must thank God for all he has so generously given us.

What are your beauty secrets?

They are simple and not so many! I drink 2 liters of water a day. I only eat protein after 6 hours p.m., and I drink green tea every day. Basically that’s it.

Do you have new projects?

I just finished filming a movie called “Everybody Cheats” with director Richard Widmack and actor Benz Antoine, who is also Haitian. The film was filmed in Boston and should be released in a while.

We learned that you have your own makeup line. Talk to us a bit. Yes, I do have a makeup line in the United States called Sarodj by Maite Makeup Company. The collection consists of a lipstick called “I love Haiti”, a blush called Jeremy, and eyeshadow called Jacmel.
